John Monteleone performed the lead role of Yank Smith, in Eugene O'Neil's The Hairy Ape. John won the Eastern Division in the American College Theater Festival for this performance. He was 19. Directed by the late Ned Bobkoff, a great director, thinker, teacher and 1960's Greenwich Village Scene talent who also taught at Dowling. Great writing, and experience for a young actor.
